It’s WAMi Festival time and, in its sophomore year, the Kiss My Camera showcase is on again! This is a great time for all Perth Music photographers to present to you the best photography around.

The exhibition will run from Wednesday 19th May until Monday 12th July at the Western Australian Museum. I was lucky to have two photo shortlisted this time around with a total of 48 photos on display. There were 450 entries altogether!

Above is a photo of Tomás Ford face-to-face with a crowd member. I love his live show where he throws the crowd into the deep-end with up-close and personal spontaneous interaction! Below is a photo of Mumford & Sons performing in the Perth Cultural Centre, right in front of the Museum! I am always in awe of the mass audience all wanting a piece of the Mumford. Both photos were taken at the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in February this year, presented by Sunset Events.

This year will introduce the People’s Choice Award for best photo. Of course it’ll be a hard choice, so just go into the Museum and make your vote!
