Another quick post from me, coming to you soon after Elbow performed at the Metro Theatre in Sydney. I guess you could say it was “a bit dark” at the venue. I’d also guess it’d suit their kind of music too!

Elbow is another band that I will put on the “maybe” list of bands that I don’t exactly understand. It’s  band that has a huge following - shown by tonight’s sold out show - but I guess I had missed the bandwagon to really understand what they’re all about. The only other thing I know about them is that Snow Patrol really like these guys too.

I was here at the Metro Theatre last week for Biffy Clyro as I had nothing do before the Sydney V Festival. It was then that I noticed there wasn’t really much front-lighting at this venue. But, I must say, the floor layout is superb! Since it was formerly(?) a theatre, the stepped pews give everyone a view of the stage!

I also (finally!) got to meet Nat (left photo) at the Elbow gig after following her for years on Flickr. She’s also a Sydney photographer and has a really nice portfolio!
